Project Information: FCC Construction partnered with Tool-N-Die Inc. on a 9,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building addition to the company's existing manufacturing facility in Wayland, Michigan. The expansion added manufacturing space and includes a new 10-ton overhead crane to support Tool-N-Die's machining operations.

The project was delivered through a design-build approach, with FCC coordinating closely with Dixon Architecture, Exxel Engineering, and Teton Designs throughout design and construction. As part of the scope, FCC also built a second parking lot to accommodate the growing facility. The team worked to tie the new addition into the existing operation with minimal disruption, completing the project on a seven-month schedule.

The addition gives Tool-N-Die the space and equipment to support its machining operations as the company grows. It reflects FCC's approach to helping manufacturers expand around how their facilities operate today and where they're headed next.
