Project: Messiah CRC Church – Building Addition and Renovation

Square Footage: Addition: 14,454SF, Renovation: 18,585 SF

Project Information: The addition at Messiah Christian Reformed Church was truly one of a kind. This project had it all—blending new and 54-year-old interior and exterior finishes, matching existing floor elevations across three levels, utilizing prefabricated structural components for all new bearing walls, and incorporating unique design elements to meet energy and building code requirements. Add in COVID-19 shutdowns, and we faced just about everything. But through open communication, weekly jobsite meetings, and a “roll up your sleeves and get it done” attitude, the team turned challenges into wins. The project absorbed COVID-19 delays, incorporated additional scope (including a new elevator), and still finished on time—with money to spare. This project is the epitome of success.
